17. What I liked most about this class?
I enjoyed the discussions with the other students. It was nice to discuss different topics and get others views and reactions. Most of the time it is only the student and teacher reactions, here the discussions involved all students and the instructor as well.
18. Liked the least? I felt sometimes our instructions were very unclear. I was often left scrambling to figure out what was due and what was needed to be done. The most frustrating time came when we were working on our group project and the threads. No one understood what was going on. The instructions were often different in two different places. One the discussion it said to email our assignment, but in our email response it said to post the assignment.
19. What I would change? (Consider what possibly might be omitted due to amount of
time involved but still being able to include all objectives for the course.) Honestly, I would omit either the group project or the final project. Maybe change the Project HOPE to being the final project and have a group project. I just felt all 3 was a lot, especially back to back. I felt rushed when completing my final project; I was so busy being the end of the semester and studying/finishing work for other classes. Or maybe space the projects out more so they are not all at the end and leave more time to complete the final project.
20. Why did you take an online class instead of a lecture class? I have classes at MCC as well as this class online. Taking this class online just fit better into my schedule. I have been at MCC for 2 years now and have always taken at least 1 online class. They are just more convenient.
21. Now, that the course is over, will you continue to take courses in critical thinking and
analysis? Why or why not? I am not sure. This was the only required class for my prerequisites. Right now I am only focused on taking the classes I need, so all my pre-reqs will be finished. Maybe I will take another class once I am finished with what I need.
22. Anything else you'd like to share... I really hope our project HOPES will help for teen in the future. Maybe to share all the information the class has gathered and find away to teach young teens about the risks and consequences.
